Free Ringtones Review: Strikes Back |

Page 1 of 6 Well, we are sad to report that of the 1.4
million web pages that claim to offer free ringtones only a handful of
those sites actually give away “free” ringtones. But not all is lost
for college students because in the midst of our hunt we found a way to
get any ringtone for any phone for free or almost free.
It is all due to some ingenious software that takes any song that you
have, isolates whatever portion of the song you want to use for your
ringtone, converts it into the specific format your phone needs and
then sends it to you. That is it. Any song you can lay your hands on
will work whether it is on a CD you have or a MP3 track on your
computer. Most of these programs require that your phone be picture
compatible so make sure to try the free demo version of them all before
you pay for anything. Also, you will need a PC to use these programs.
We didn’t find any Mac compatible software in our search.
Another possibility for getting ringtones is to go to your phones
manufacturer’s web site (manufacturer, not cellular service provider).
You would be surprised how many companies have programs set up for you
to get free ringtones. However, your service provider will never tell
you about that because they would rather sell you those same ringtones
for a hefty price.
Do not feel bad about not paying the record companies for their part.
They make entire songs available for a buck or less over the web but
then charge you and I up to $4 for 15 seconds of a song that most often
aren’t even the 15 seconds of the song that we want. Well that is all a
thing of the past!
We have the programs to solve this whole mess. Some of these programs
are free but some of them cost, and others charge a transfer fee. We
listed all of the free ones and those that cost less than $20 for an
unlimited amount of uses.
If you use any of these programs make sure to come
back to this page and write a comment so others can know how well or
unwell they work. Also, we didn’t bother writing negative reviews about
the ones that didn’t work or were a rip off. Let’s just say that if you
don’t see it here then it is not a credible software program.
