Make separate piles for whites (and we mean pure white), dark colors, light colors, and delicates.  Towels get their own wash.  Bed sheets get their own wash.  Some males think they don’t own any delicates, so check the tags on your collared shirts and sweaters.

To wash athletic shoes, remove the laces and throw them in their own wash.  Even if the shoes are white, never use bleach.  Finally, let them air dry; the dryer may cause your Nikes to melt.  Don’t forget to read the manufacturer’s label, as all shoes are different.
